Itty Bitty Camps: Pirates & Mermaids
Dates: June 16 – 20
Cost: $200
Ages: 6 to 8
Times: 1:00-4:00
Itty Bitty Camps are week-long, half day camps where students will use their Actor’s Toolkit (voices, bodies and IMAGINATIONS). In Itty Bitty Camp, campers will learn how to tell a story, create characters, character movement and more! This camp will be themed around the mythical world of Pirates & Mermaids.

In Itty Bitty Camp, campers will learn how to tell a story, create characters, character movement and more! This camp will be themed around the exciting world of Superheroes!
Teeny Tiny Theater Camp
Dates: July 7 – 11

Ages: 3-5
Time: 10:00 – 11:00
Teeny Tiny Theater Camp are week-long, sixty minute camps where we introduce the magic of theater and storytelling! Campers will learn how to tell a story through theater games, imagination activities, focused listening and exploring.
Acting Camp: Greek Myths
Dates: July 14 – 18
Cost: $325
Ages: 9-18
Time: 9:00-3:00
Acting Camp is a week-long, full day camp where students learn the fundamentals of theater such as acting, movement, and tech! This year the camp will be themed around the original world of theater with Greek Mythology.
Musical Theater Camp: Imagine a Dragon
Dates: July 21-25
Cost: $325
Ages: 9-18
Times: 9:00-3:00
Musical Theater Camp is a week-long, full day camp where students explore the world of musical theater learning how to sing, dance, and act! This year the camp will be themed around NOVA’s spring youth musical Imagine a Dragon.
Electives Camp
Dates: July 28 – August 1
Cost: $350
Ages: 12-18
Times: 9:00-3:00
Electives Camp is a week-long, full day camp where students will take a deeper dive into acting essentials such as Acting/Audition Prep, Voice Work, and Movement/Developing a Character while also getting a chance to choose various elective classes presented by our instructors.
Teeny Tiny Camp

Summer Camp Teachers
Position: Teaching Artist
Department: Youth Conservatory

Instructional Salary/Hour: Varies by camp
Position Summary:
NOVA is currently seeking teachers for our 2025 summer camp season. Summer camp teachers provide professional arts instruction for students 3-18 and receive teaching assignments within a wide variety of programming that NOVA provides. Teaching artists should have experience in developing and executing theatre education curriculum (acting, musical theatre, movement/dance, improv, physical comedy, stage makeup, creative drama), classroom management skills, and have reliable transportation.
About NOVA:
NOVA Center for the Performing Arts offers drama, musical theater, improv comedy, opera and a youth conservatory under one roof. With other organizations renting NOVA for performances or meeting space, the building is in use almost every day of the year providing the Billings community a local space for performance arts. NOVA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides culturally responsive instruction for students
- Provides professional teaching artistry for all assigned classes, camps, workshops, and/or residencies
- Utilizes positive classroom management techniques for all students
- Develops, writes, evaluates, and implements curriculum on behalf of NOVA programs
- Prepares classroom and materials prior to the start of class or workshop
- Collaborates and communicates with other teaching artists and educators
- Communicates and builds rapport with students, guardians, staff, teachers, and stakeholders
- Maintains accurate records as required, including attendance and student medical and emergency information
- Represents education programs at NOVA and in the larger community
- Mentors interns, classroom assistants, apprentices, and fellows
- Attends professional development opportunities
- Attends faculty and orientation meetings
- Collaborates with program manager(s)
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of two years of work experience in related field
- Preferred candidates with experience working with all ages or interest in learning
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass a full background check
- Reliable mode of transportation
- Must be available for orientation and training
