Rising Stars

Rising Star classes are designed for students with little to no theater experience.

**Storytime Theatre (6 weeks only)

Cost: $120 For ages 4-5.5 years old Wednesdays 2:00PM-3:00pm January 11th-February 15th

Participants will enter the world of the story to explore character, setting, conflict, point of view and specific details. Using improvisation, discussion and imagination, students work together to solve a problem that is central to the story.

Creative Drama (13 weeks)

Cost: $180 For ages 6-8 Tuesdays 3:30PM – 4:30PM January 10 – April 11 (no class March 14th)

Students are introduced to the world of theater through storytelling, arts & crafts, theater games and, most importantly, their imaginations!

**Intro to Theater (13 weeks)

Cost: $200 For ages 9-12 Tuesdays 5:00-6:00PM January 10-April 11 (no class on March 13)

A basic introduction to theater skills. Students will become comfortable performing on stage by playing theater games, building characters, engaging imagination, and acquiring basic theatrical knowledge.

**R.O.C.K. (6 weeks only)

Cost: $180 For ages 6-12 Tuesdays 5:30-6:30PM January 10 – February 14, 2023

Beginning students who are just breaking into music will be introduced to vocal placement, projection, rhythm, tempo and much more, all using a variety of musical numbers.

Super Stars

Super Star classes are designed for students who have some experience in theater and/or have completed a semester of one of the Rising Star classes.

**Acting I (13 weeks)

Cost: $225 For ages 9-13 Wednesdays 3:30- 4:30PM January 11-April 12, 2023 (No class on March 15)

Students will learn the basics of acting such as listening, projecting, enunciation, ensemble work and more, through various acting techniques, improv exercises and theater games.

Rockstars

Rockstar classes are designed for our more advanced students who have either participated in school productions, community productions or have been involved with NOVA’s Rising Star and Super Star programs.

**Acting II (13 weeks)

Cost: $225 For ages 13-18 Thursdays 4:30-5:30PM January 12 – April 13, 2023 (No class on March 16)

Students will build on what they learned in Acting I, to delve deeper into a script by learning to analyze scripts and characters and master their impulses through a series of acting exercises and scene work.
