Meet our NOVA Youth Conservatory Teachers!
Marisa Clark-Backstage Pass: Costuming
Marisa rediscovered her love of theater through the involvement of her children, and is passionate about the importance of the youth and adult programs here at NOVA. In addition to performing in several shows over the past two years, coaching on of our youth improv troupes, and teaching previous youth classes, she has also costumed productions such as "Funny Girl", "A Christmas Carol Musical" and "Jake's Women". She's excited to teach costuming as she enjoys both the confidence building aspect of dressing the person embodying the character and putting some psychology to work in the impression costumes makes on the audience.
CONGRATULATIONS to the cast and crew of The Enchanted Bookshop! I was absolutely thrilled with the turn out we had for auditions over the weekend! Thank you to all 85 kids who came out. Sadly, I wasn't able to cast all of you, but I encourage you all to continue to audition for shows in the future and to try out our classes in the spring! If you have been cast please either comment below or email me at youth@novabillings.org to accept your part. The first read through will be December 2 at 4:30. I look forward to starting this process with all of you! -DeLaney Maggie-Cami Sims Bombalurina-Penelope King/Remington Michaelies Mom-Maggie Wilson Timmy-Marshall Polk Robin Hood-Emily Marxer Tom Sawyer-Carter Roth Sherlock-Euan Jorgensen Toto-Maclain Wilcox/Ada Amundsen Dorothy-Eliza Kojder Heidi-Isabel Kostinko PollyAnna-Ayla Swander Book Fairy-Vivian Hastings Lady in Red-Kayla Roth Fagin-Emmett Gilfeather Long John Silver-Gideon Nilles Officer Ketchum-Nevaeh Kraiter Fingers-Keely Beede Eddie-Gabriel Rasch Dr. DoLittle-Torunn Pillai Queen of Hearts-Arabella Friedel Frankenstein-Pierce Hayes Wicked Witch of the West-Ava Woltjer Hopalong Cassidy-Alexandra Wallace Tech- Alder Fields, Sofia Riley, Chloe Kinn, Sam Grove, Oregon Storey, Tomina Corrothers, Bailey Malone, Violet Miller, Soren Fields, Madison Stewart, Layla Cash
Our second weekend of shows is done, and now we're turning our attention to the final three performances of THE GARISH SUN.
First up is Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. at NOVA Center for the Performing Arts, and boy, do we have something special cooked up for this. First, it's Student Night, and that means any student who shows up at the door with an ID gets into the show for FREE (while seats last).
After the show, we'll convene a panel of journalists for a talk-back session, hosted by playwright Craig Lancaster.
Tickets: yellowstonerep.ludus.com/index.php
The run wraps up with 7:30 p.m. performances on Friday (Nov. 22) and Saturday (Nov. 23). Come out and help us bid farewell to this season-opening world premiere as we turn our gaze to 2025 and the rest of our season!
