NOVA Center for the Performing Arts is staging "Five Women Wearing the Same Dress," an ostentatious show about five women of different backgrounds, who are brought together for a wedding.
The show, directed by Anjanett Hawk, will be performed April 1-15 at the downtown playhouse.
"Five Women Wearing the Same Dress" is this year’s Rankin File production, which means it was written by women, about women, or directed by a woman and gives voice and empowerment to women in the arts.
The Rankin File is named in honor of Jeanette Pickering Rankin, a native Montanan who overcame intense scrutiny to become the first woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and, to date, Montana’s only congresswoman.
Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees are at 2.
The show contains adult content and is not recommended for children.
Tickets are available by calling the box office at 591-9535, visiting the website at novabillings.org or stopping by the box office located at 2317 Montana Ave. NOVA’s box office hours are noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
Ticket prices are $21 for adults, $16 for seniors and military, and $10 for students.
