Beginners ROCK Choir - Tuesdays, 4-5pm in the Large Dance (Grades K-Beginners)
Designed for beginners with little to no experience with choral work, Beginning ROCK Choir will teach students about notes on a staff, melodies, blending and pitch using Opera, Musical Theatre and popular music. There will also be additional performances in the community.
Advanced ROCK Choir - Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30 PM in the Large Dance (By audition only)
Our more advanced choir students will have the opportunity to further their musical knowledge. They will learn about sight reading, melody, harmony, blending, rhythm, tempo and layering. THIS CLASS IS BY REFERRAL OR AUDITION ONLY. Please contact Janie Sutton for details (email@example.com). There will also be additional performance opportunities in the community throughout the semester.
Creative Dramatics - Wednesdays, 4-5pm in the Cafe’ (Grades K-3)
Grades K-3 will be introduced to early elements of theatre while exploring imagination through role-playing and storytelling. Scholarships and low income tuition available upon request and submission.
Dramatic Intro - Wednesdays, 4-5pm
in the Large Dance (Grades 3-6)
Students will learn the basics of acting and the elements of a story. Through theater games, imitation, and expression of ideas, they will learn how to use stage directions, develop their language and communication skills, and assert themselves creatively as an individual and in a group. Scholarships and low income tuition available upon request and submission.
Evolving Actors - Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30PM in the Large Dance (Grades 5-8)
Students will learn how to create and develop characters. They will use improvisation, storytelling and visual imagery to advance their skills and transition to more prominent roles on-stage. Scholarships and low income tuition available upon request and submission.
Advanced Players - Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30PM
in the Cafe’ (Grades 7-12)
The more seasoned thespian will specify their acting skills through script analysis, audition technique, cold reading and head shots. Using scene work and monologues, students will prepare themselves for the next step in their theatrical journey. Scholarships and low income tuition available upon request and submission.
